Bears Rally From 15-Point Deficit to Shock Packers in Wild Card Thriller

In one of the most dramatic playoff games of the season, the Chicago Bears mounted a stunning comeback to defeat the Green Bay Packers 31–27 in their NFC Wild Card matchup on Sunday night at Soldier Field.

Chicago found itself trailing 21–6 early in the fourth quarter after the Packers dominated the first half behind Jordan Love, who threw three touchdown passes to put Green Bay in control.

But the Bears refused to fold. Fueled by an explosive fourth quarter, rookie quarterback Caleb Williams led a blistering 25-point scoring surge that electrified the home crowd and turned the game around.

Williams kicked off the rally with an 8-yard touchdown pass to Olamide Zaccheaus, followed by a successful two-point conversion to Colston Loveland that cut Chicago’s deficit to three. After a missed Packers field goal attempt, Williams delivered the go-ahead blow with a 25-yard touchdown strike to DJ Moore with just 1:43 left in the game.

The Packers had one final chance to reclaim the lead, driving into Bears territory late. However, penalties and an injury-related clock runoff stalled their progress, and Love’s final pass fell incomplete as time expired.

Williams finished the night with 361 passing yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions, while D’Andre Swift contributed a critical rushing score in the second half.

With the win, the second-seeded Bears (12–6) secured their first playoff victory since 2011 and will host a Divisional Round game next. Meanwhile, the Packers (9–8–1) saw their season end on a five-game losing streak, capping a turbulent campaign for Green Bay.
