Former NASCAR Cup Series champion Brad Keselowski will step out of RFK Racing’s No. 6 Ford at the end of the 2026 season, opening a new chapter in his career.

RFK announced the decision on September 29, confirming that Keselowski will finish the remaining races with the team. The two sides will also work through arrangements concerning his ownership stake. RFK Racing’s official announcement

Keselowski’s departure carries significance beyond a driver change. The 2012 Cup Series champion began racing for RFK in 2022, combining driving duties with a leadership role in the organization. His time behind the wheel included a victory at Darlington in May 2024.

According to NASCAR, he has earned 36 career Cup Series wins. NASCAR’s report

His departure does not signal a retirement announcement.

“I’m nowhere near ready to be done as a driver,” Keselowski said in the team’s statement, expressing his intention to keep competing. RFK said it supports his pursuit of opportunities elsewhere and remains committed to fielding three Cup Series cars in 2027. Plans for the No. 6 entry will be announced later. RFK Racing

The next question is where the veteran will land. NASCAR’s September 30 analysis highlighted a difficult driver market, with many 2027 seats already filled. His next destination remains unresolved in that reporting, making his search for a new ride a story to watch as the season winds down. NASCAR’s driver-market analysis
