Legal Trouble Surfaces During Traffic Stop
A former WWE NIL (Next In Line) talent, AJ Ferrari, was arrested in Nebraska over the weekend after a routine traffic stop turned serious. Law enforcement discovered Ferrari had an outstanding warrant, leading to his arrest and booking on a fugitive from justice charge.
According to authorities, Ferrari was pulled over for allegedly speeding at 90 mph on Interstate 80 near Waverly. During the stop, the trooper discovered a warrant dating back to October 2025 related to an earlier incident in Texas, and Ferrari was taken into custody.
Ferrari’s legal troubles are not new. In 2022 he faced a sexual battery charge that led to his removal from a collegiate wrestling program, though the charges were later dropped in 2023. He originally gained attention in the wrestling world after signing with WWE’s NIL recruiting initiative in 2021 while still a college athlete.
The University of Nebraska Athletic Department confirmed it is aware of the arrest and is awaiting further information from authorities. At this time, further details about Ferrari’s legal status or next steps have not been released.
This development highlights the challenges some former wrestling prospects face outside the ring, especially as they transition from high-profile NIL deals to life beyond WWE’s immediate spotlight.
